It is risky trying to give general advice, but if you are stuck for ideas, then here are some suggestions (not hard-and-fast rules): A visual break such as different colors for top and lower parts of the dress, can influence how flattering the dress is, depending on how high up the break is. Similarly, how high up a waist-band or belt is can have an impact too. Positioning it high-ish can emphasise the length of your legs, and also move attention away from the tummy and up to the bust or shoulders. A cross-over design is especially eye-catching for an hour-glass figure. If you have broad shoulders, then a wider neckline tends to help - maybe a broad V-neck and short-ish sleeves that are flared and feminine.
