The late 1920s/early 1930s fashion is a clue to this being a special lady from the past. What is not immediately obvious from the portrait, is this full figured lady's great height. Reputedly 7' 7" (231cm) tall. Katja came from the land of many tall people, the Netherlands, and I think that you will agree that she would have been a worthy gallery candidate even without her remarkable stature.
