Flowing feminine skirts are in fashion and these are traditionally recommended for ladies who are larger in the hips and have long legs. But don't let that advice limit your choice. Leggy ladies with curvy hips can look superb in pencil skirts provided that you can get a good fit for waist and hips. And for long swishy skirts, it is not always best (visually) to go for very full skirts. They can make you look larger. Imagine a fish-tail evening gown that hugs the thighs, and then flares out. What you might like to try is a much more subtle version of that style. It doesn't hide your hips, but it makes your overall shape less large and more feminine.
